Nuno Miguel Melo Furtado

Nuno Miguel Melo Furtado has served as the Representative of Cabo Verde to the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co‑operation between China and Portuguese‑speaking Countries (Macao) since August 2017. Before his appointment, he was the Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the National Assembly of Cabo Verde. A graduate of Renmin University of China with a specialization in International Politics, Mr. Furtado is fluent in Mandarin. He concurrently represents Cabo Verde TradeInvest, the national investment promotion agency, further strengthening the economic and trade ties between Cabo Verde and China.
